The size of the dish was good for two people. Sis kebab and lamb cutlets had a very good taste, but the sis tavuk and kofte were normal. This dish served with a bowl of salad and plate of different dips, which was a very good appetiser.
Little Istanbul is a frequent stop for us when we are in the area, we have always found the food, atmosphere and service of a good standard.
We have dined inside and outside and during winter there is outdoor heating and clear cafe blinds for wind and rain shelter around the outdoor dining area.
The meals have always been reasonably priced and are always a very good portion size.
The entrees are great to share amongst friends and family, having dined here just as a family but also with large groups of friends.
Little Istanbul also offer banquet menu options with groups.
Little Istanbul is not licenced but you are welcome to bring your own alcohol while dining here.
There is a liquor store close by at the Woolworths inside Southpoint on the ground floor.
Takeaway food disguised as fine dining
We ordered the “sovereign” banquet, the banquet was two small skewers (4 bite sized pieces of meat each), rice and one zucchini ball with average sides fresh from the Coles fridge. Took an hour to actually bring out the main, in the meantime kept giving us lukewarm bread. Highly recommend you eat up before coming here. This place is a scam.
Located in Anketell St, on the north side of Tuggeranong Htperdo me, Little Istanbul has plenty of seating both indoors and out.
Menu is extensive and caters for most preferences. Entrees consists of 8 dips, zucchini balls, 2 types of Borek (feta and spinach, and lamb) and more. There are many pide options, salads and mains.
Stand out dishes include the lamb salad, seafood salad that contains salmon, calamari and prawns, kulbastii (mix of grilled chicken and lamb, garlic sauce with salad), Borek and kabak (zucchini balls). There is also plenty of desserts to tempt you if can still fit it in after all the delicious mains you'll order.
Service is polite, friendly and helpful though staff were sparse.
Plenty of parking across the road or at the hyperdome mall.
The most wonderful food I've ever had, service was excellent, lots of room and your taste buds will want to try ALL on the menu. I can't wait to get back highly recommended
Very nice staff and a beautiful environment. The food presentation was good and the ingredients were fresh. But would not rate the flavour experience more than three.
To our opinion it was not worth the price.
Such attentive and friendly staff, remembering regular's orders and super efficient. The coffee is excellent, with real attention to the quality of the milk. All for a reasonable price Well worth it. I can only imagine the restaurant inside would be equally quality. 5star.
I just loved the vibe and food over here. They have plenty of options to choose from and yes you can grab a good cup of coffee before the kitchen opens.
